Why “Truth About Conneaut Lake Park” Matters so Very Much
The site was created with the sole intention of making the truth known about this 115 year old amusement park/resort. Since times got tough for Conneaut Lake Park it has been a very controversial topic that often gives way to many misinformed and misguided statements.
Rightfully, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but opinions based on hearsay hold no water. Hopefully this site will put many of these 'facts' on the table for the community to ponder and form different opinions and to make better educated statements.
Tourism is the second largest industry in both Pennsylvania and Crawford County. In Conneaut Lake Park, we have a unique economic, historic, and cultural asset in place that, with proper direction, could be the stimulus for more growth in the area and region. It is strategically positioned between the metropolitan markets of Buffalo, Cleveland and Pittsburgh and still retains its rural charm.
The Snow Waters development, with its subsequent Harbor Village/Marina expansion, and the major upgrades to the Park Golf Course prove that our area has tremendous potential for both residents and visitors as a premier resort destination.
